Bijeljina and Semberija: the farming plain of the north-east
Semberija, the flat land between the Drina and the Sava around Bijeljina, is the main farming area of the north-east. Field crops, vegetables and orchards dominate, and the food industry processes them; prefabricated houses and building materials are produced here too.
